Allegiant Air is betting it might assist fill a Spirit Airways-sized void in South Florida.
The price range airline on Tuesday introduced 4 new routes launching this fall from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Worldwide Airport (FLL), which was Spirit’s dwelling base till it folded earlier this month.
Allegiant’s FLL enlargement contains new service to New England and the Midwest — with Boston, Kansas Metropolis and different main cities becoming a member of the combination.
It is a clear sign that Allegiant just isn’t keen to utterly cede Fort Lauderdale to JetBlue, which has moved quickly to add service from the airport and seize the higher hand at FLL as a part of a push to make it considered one of its three largest hubs.
In the meantime, FLL is not the one place Allegiant is rising.
